Orgullosa de llamarme gadiguiri durante los últimos 12 años, me encanta combinar mis habilidades profesionales con causas que me apasionan. A nivel local, ayudo con la promoción de cultura y desarrollo regional con traducciones para la Zona Franca de Cádiz, la revista Telethusa Flamenco y académicos de las universidades de Cádiz y Sevilla. Más allá de eso, soy traductora habitual para la Sociedad Española de Radiología y los proyectos del Instituto Alemán de Evaluación del Desarrollo en América Latina.

Disfruto especialmente de la interacción con el cliente como editora y me preocupo sobretodo por asegurar de que el cliente esté satisfecho con el producto final.

Cuando no estoy trabajando, me puedes encontrar caminando por la Costa de la Luz, experimentando en la cocina o corriendo detrás de mis hijos por las preciosas vías verdes de Andalucía.

A lifelong passion for languages made it almost inevitable that I would become a translator. Having studied English, Welsh, Spanish, French and Italian at school and university, an opportunity to teach English as a foreign language brought me to Spain over a decade ago, where I have remained ever since.

Translation soon felt like the natural next step. After a period working in translation agencies in Barcelona, I took the leap and became a freelancer. Since then, I have worked on a wide range of projects – from translation and proofreading to subtitling and transcription – across numerous fields, although legal texts have always interested me most.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the province of Cádiz, running, cycling and hiking whenever I can. I am also a keen music enthusiast and actively involved in the local scene in Jerez de la Frontera, which I am now fortunate enough to call home.

Having learnt sign language before I could speak, I went on to enjoy studying Spanish and French through school and university, confirming that I have always been a linguist at heart. I believe that translation walks the line between art and science, both working in harmony to attain the balance that I feel is reflected in my mindset and attitude.

This equilibrium is made manifest in the translations I have undertaken throughout my career: from specialised construction documents and tech specs in fields such as IT, to tourist information aimed at promoting the beauty of the local area, as well as architectural articles which address both technical aspects and the essence of the art.

My approach is the same outside of the office, whether I’m playing the drums, preparing a speciality coffee, cooking a spicy dish with home-grown produce, or gaming.

Soy traductora, correctora y profesora de inglés. Española criada en Londres, descubrí el placer de ayudar a otros a superar las barreras lingüísticas y de comunicación desde muy joven.

Desde entonces, he dedicado mi vida a esta pasión, formándome en Bristol, Londres y Salamanca. Actualmente estoy cursando un Máster en Traducción y Tecnologías por la UOC.

Me interesa mucho el tema de la Accesibilidad Web para personas con discapacidad visual, auditiva o física. Estoy estudiando la posibilidad de ofrecer también auditorías de accesibilidad web.

En mis ratos libres, me encanta estar con mi familia; también veo series, cojo un libro o salgo con mi perrita a pasear.
